Why then did God curse an banished Adam and Eve for a most trivial offence?

Why did he not forgive them after thousands of years and why has he been exacting revenge on their offspring?

And why was that not enough and he demanded his son's crucifiction before forgiving! Too horrible and barbaric even to to write about it here.

And then after all that wrath and savagery, he back tracted. We are still locked outside paradise, are we not?

It is a terrible, terrible, creature some people are expecting us to believe in... They had better tear up the OT and invent a better God. One who is not an insult to man's intelligence and sense of fairness and goodness.

To not forgive quickly and seek revenge sounds like the motto of the Taliban

Is it from your stand point that God was not upfront with Adam and Eve? As you say it was just a trivial offence? Or was it? Do you think your creator had the right to test the first humans to see if they could be loyal? He freely gave them of the entire tree's in the garden except one. That was his tree and he told them up front not to touch his tree or they would die. Now fore sure the woman was seduced?, but not the man. By taking from God's tree, they rebelled against his way of rule? That simple act did the following: They became stealers, they listen to a liar and followed the liars advice and also became liars, their act of rebellion challenged God's sovereignty or his right to rule over the earth. Being a loving God and father he allowed them to prove to him whether they could rule themselves better than he could? In-fact they have been demonstrating how good they rule for 6,000 years now.
He most certainly did forgive them, but they new what the result would be before hand. After they sinned they started dieing and in this state they started having offspring and passing there sin on to their offspring.(their imperfection)
His son's Crucifixion:
If you become a better student of the scriptures you will understand this part better. God did not force his son to do this act Jesus did it willingly. He bought back your right to have everlasting life or to live forever on earth. If you want it and work for it? It seems though in these last days of mans test he doesn't want to work for it? The requirement that God laid on all humans is simple. Just read and discern his thoughts at John 17:3. But your way of thinking is not all yours but belongs to many people?
When the earthquake and great waves hit last year many people blamed God for it ? But in reality people know that if you build on the sea shore you do take a risk. Don't you think that’s true? Like wise if you want God's viewpoint on something you need to come to a better understanding of his purposes. What you are doing is making decisions on deep things that you have little understanding about.
One thing for sure though is you have recognized that you have some of God's qualities ( you have a small amount of Love, Justice, Wisdom, and Power.) Just slow down and ask more and better questions.

Hi there. Oh Boy, there's much knowledge you've missed out on.

1. The grave mistake by Adam & Eve was not so much that they disobeyed and ate an apple. The apple grew and hung from a very special tree, one that doesn't exist today. The fruit didn't contain physical nourishment, but Spiritual. This was the tree of 'Knowledge'. Adam & Eve did not grow enough spiritually yet to absorb this knowledge. They now knew things they couldn't fully understand. In the big picture, this was a fatal event and their spiritual growth could Not continue. If Adam & Eve were to remain the Garden of Eden it would've been even more catastrophic. The only thing left to do was to make them leave and destroy the garden.

2. This spiritual tainting could not be repaired and for reasons beyond our understanding it carries to each and every spirit added to human flesh thereafter.

3. From that time to the point when God's son Jesus died on the cross, no person that died could cross the the threshold into heaven. This made God very, very sad, for he loves us so very much. Then figured out how to create a passage for us so we could get to heaven when we died. But this passage could only be made by a spirit that was perfect and resided in human flesh. It must've broke God's heart to have to send his son, but it was the only way. Jesus agreed to do this, he was not forced.

4. So no, we're not locked out of paradise, we now have a way.
Please try not to pass judgment until you know everything there is to know.

I hope this has helped you, feel free to contact me if you want further discussion. Good luck and yes God does Love you.

so....you're calling disobedience to God a trivial offense?

1) I doubt that the fruit actually changed Adam and Eve's cerebral chemistry to make them aware of the moral and immoral. It was more the act of disobedience. God could have told them to do other things as a test of obedience...

2) Adam and Eve did not reach even a thousand years. Also, everything reproduces after its own kind, so humans are all born with a sinful element to our human nature. When we sin, we bring judgement upon ourselves.

3) your third arguement is irrational. Christ died so we had an "escape" from the law, as only those who knew it and followed it were saved. By Christ's death, humanity now had their rights, which Adam and Eve lost, to free communication with God back, and even an opportunity to know God personally.

4) Paradise fails in comparison to Heaven. Paradise was to last up until Christ's resurection and ascention to Heaven, while Heaven will last until the end of time. And we have a chance to get to Heaven...

dude, get your thinking straight.

Actually only the Babtists the Catholics, the Jews and the Islamics follow the God of the old Testament. They all want to think that God knows everything and can't change his ways, his laws or his mind, what they miss is that God isn't subject to humans in any manner, but we humans are subject to God by choice. At least thats what Jesus teaches, so if you seek revenge your not trusting God to his least benificial trait. Its also been proven that anger plsys havok with ones internal organs, so its better to forgive the offence. As to the Blood of Jesus being shed in death and covering believers, its a way to admit that the ways of the world persecute Gods ways and for us to seek seperation in favor of and for the way of God. Do you know that God doesn't love everyone? According to Jesus, God loves only those who do his wishes.

Remember from the Wrath of Khan that revenge is a dish best served cold. Bitterness is a poison we drink hoping the other person dies. But the real reason is because God is interested in the condition of our own hearts. He tells us to look at the log in our eye rather than the speck in someone elses eye. For me, I learn to focus on me, my behaviors, and the condition of what is going on inside of me. Revenge is not necessary. Instead we set and enforce boundaries. We allow others to suffer the consequences of their actions. We can make tough choices and have tough love against them if necessary. Revenge has malice. A vengeful heart has hatred and bitterness in it. We are not called to have all that stuff inside us. We can apply boundaries, consequences, and do what is right without an evil vengeful spirit.

Where did you get such a clear mind?

In fact, whether people believe in God or not, are revengeful and unforgiving. It's human nature to be imprisoned by their own selfish sense of superior Ego. This is the main cause of human sufferings.

If people want a good life, learn to love.
By loving, the ego dissolves.

That story always bothered me. God knew that they were going to eat it so it was like he was setting them up. Besides had they not been banished, it would have taken the living out of life. Suffering is what makes us who we are. If Adam and Eve weren't punished we would just be in heaven and not enjoy it because we take it for granted. Huh, kind of weird answer

Well the followers aren't exactly forgiving either. I'm a muslim and I'm still being insulted and prosecuted even though I had nothing to do with all those acts of terrorism and violent.
