Sounds like he is a bit insecure then, kind of shy even. If you know he likes you then he would be more than happy if you will ask him out. So you should, ask him out and he will know you like him too, and just see what happens from then. It doesnt mean you are going into a relationship, just a date to see how you guys act around each other.
