My house was built in 1899 ,( Australia) and every door in my house is still original and they range from 30 1/4" to 32" , there is not one door the same size. Get your door tailor made , it will be a bit more expensive but it will be worth it as it made exactly 4 your door Jamb, hope this helps.

there really isn't a standard, though I think 30" is considered an odd size. I went to the Home Depot to price 30" doors and found that most were special order and not "stock". Are you sure 32" is an odd size? It seems they had larger more readily available.

Find a new retailer. 32" doors are common, even a little small for an exterior door. I have 32" interior, one 32" exterior, and two 36" exterior doors. I also recommend solid core doors on bedrooms. They are a fire barrier good for an hour burn time. Your family is worth the extra money.

Measure carefully and any Menard's, Home Depot, or Lowe's can help you. Lots of places will custom make doors. Had custom made storm doors (34"x 83") made for $400 a few years back. Also, it is always possible a door frame has had furring added to make it narrower, or it you like can do that to decrease a door's size.

You can buy all door sizes. 32" is very common. Home Depot or Lowes have in stock, and can order sizes smaller than 18" to wider than 4 feet.

They were different in 1950s when my house was built. We have no lounge door now. New ones seem to be all the same size an I dont fancy planing them down.

If you're talking wood, you should be able to have one cut to your size. But you can even get metal doors ordered to your size if you go to the right company. I work for a company and we have to order doors of all sizes, and the hinges have many different measurements!
