You've already done the right thing by leaving that church.
For the rest, I'll tell you that you may have to deal with those kinds of people a lot. Maybe God wants you to help them in some way.

Never be afraid to speak the truth about God.

It's good to warn people gently about the false teaching, but be specific and show them where it is spelled out plainly in the Bible.

I've encountered some false teaching at church. I haven't found any that are perfect and I don't claim to have perfect knowledge myself.

I ask them gently to show me where they are getting their information from or if they are receiving insight from the Holy Spirit.

If they are going against the Bible then they are likely relying on their own wisdom and intelligence. We are told not to do exactly that.

Don't bother arguing about points that aren't clearly stated in the Bible. The point is to stop the false teachings in order to keep them from going against God. I look for ways to agree with people. I tend to approach those disagreements as a misunderstanding of words between us. A surprising number of times what they mean is correct even though they didn't choose their words well. We all have a lot we can learn from each other and from the Bible.

Jesus told us that many people will talk about Him but He doesn't know them. Your family is a mess and typifying cultist behavior. It is your job to reveal the truth and to pray for and minister to your husband. These people are in control of those in their church and power is hard to give up. Love your husband and ask the HS to reveal the truth to him.

If this church has some sort of chain of power, like a main office that has some control over them, you should tell them what is going on. If they have no leadership and are on their own, they may go the way of the Peoples Temple and the Branch Davidians. It is very sad.

I will answer this question as it is written.

One....NOBODY should make one a minister...GOD does that
Two....husband and brother-in-law both have problems...WHERE'S God in their lives??....they should not be professing to be men of God when they are obviously not.
This is a bad situation....no, one should not be allowed to "feed the sheep" when they are starving themselves....
I too, have spiritual gifts....such as discerning...speaking in tongues....I too have VERY spiritual eyes..well, that's my JOB to see with spiritual eyes...ok...about the "witch" stuff...there ARE true "white witches" or even witches labeled as Christian witches...I am a "natural witch myself"....but I still have God...I do not worship any idols...or false gods....I worship GOD himself and I strongly believe in Jesus and his teachings.......and finally I assume you were going to say that your husband and brother continue to go to church..knowing the situations.....sounds like they need some serious spiritual counseling...hmmmm....too bad I only counsel women....

Good luck...God bless...

Biblically, such accusatioins against elders require two witnesses who will go to the persons privately, then w/ 2 or 4 others, and finally to the entire council.
You need to share you concerns w/ your husband, your spiritual leader. His addictive problems suggests a strong need for intervention and counseling.

I don't think it is wrong as long as you keep in mind that you and me and everyone else also have sin in our lives and you go about it in the right way. The Bible says that if we love someone then will keep such things secret and not tell anyone, but it also says that if we see our fellow believer sinning that we should go to the person just one on one and IN LOVE discuss the sin, and then if they don't believe you to take like one or two people with you talk to that person about the sin, and if they still don't believe you then you should consider that person kind of like a stiff-necked sinner stuck in his ways.

No offense intended, but your writing seems to indicate some serious problems.
Perhaps you would benefit from some medication and psychological counseling--- and definitely a change of churches as well.

Well they are NOT witches. I'm a witch and I would never set foot in a christian church.

You are dealing with hypocrites that are under the influence of power, selfishness and evil. Please don't slander witches in that way. I'm sorry that you are going through this and you should always speak your truth. I don't believe like you....but I would advise that you pray to your God for guidance and follow your heart.

Speaking against these shenanigans wouldn't be wrong.

It would be useless.

If you have removed yourself from the path of this train wreck, then for nonexistent god's sake, STAY AWAY.
