I have recently moved from the Wilds of Wyoming.....to a terribly busy eastern city....with NO wilderness for miles and miles and miles.....I feel so suffocated. Any suggestions?

I feel trapped and cut off from the land. I feel terribly alone and in desperate need of space. There is no nature here....just asphalt. I can't see any mountains or valleys....just rows and rows of shops and houses. It's awful. I'm stuck here for 2 yrs due to work.

Lot's of houseplants. I let a nice breeze come in too and light insense a lot. Just bring as much nature as you can inside. A rock fountain would be good too. Artwork that shows Nature, maybe use more stone and wood decoration than plastic, things like that. Nice fabrics help as well.

Hey, I'm a Wiccan in Chicago originally from the countryside of rural IL. I've made an elaborate altar for indoor use. Afterall, it's way too cold to do rituals outside. When the weather warms up, I will seek a forest or nature sanctuary. The best part about the city is more pagans. You can usually find three or four gatherings in larger towns, maybe more depending on the area.

If you can't be home, bring home to you.

If you have a green thumb, not only are regular houseplants good, but I've recently been turned on to bonsai. Bring a little bit of the mountains into your room. There's bound to be a park nearby somewhere, and parks mean trees at least, and that's better than nothing.....

Good luck.

Are there any local gardens in the area. Sometimes there are indoor gardens and botanical gardens in very populated areas. You would have to check your local listings. Otherwise just sit somewhere by yourself and use visulization. If you have a car you could drive out of town and just sit on a side road somewhere soaking up the earth. Hope this helped

The best way for you to get to feeling at home is to observe your surroundings. Maybe sometimes being on the roof to do a moonspell is just what you need. Good luck.

I was on the USS Theodore Roosevelt for 3 years. I was a practicing Pagan at the time, and yes, I admit it was hard to do anything. But I managed to perform third-eye healing spells. That helped a lot.

meditation worked a lot too.

Find the local parks and spend some time there. I spend lots of time at New Orleans City Park.

lots and lots of houseplants. and as many visits to a state park that you can afford.

however this may be a good opportunity to explore other paths.
a city in itself is a living thing, it is made of many different elements of the earth, and it has it's own ecoystem, and animal life.

Perhaps growing some houseplants will bring a bit of nature back into your life. I know what you mean about big cities, they can feel suffocating.
