because you cant have just one. you ask can i have some more & it just comes out as s'more as in oliver twist when hes done eating his poridge and in his british accent it just comes out as can i have smore, please sir!

The guy that made it was called Jacks More, and being the clever basterd he was he called them, s'more

It is the way you ask for "some more' when you have had one and your mouth is sticky from the melted marshmallow.
