well, hot dogs are a lot like bologna. they use the leftover meat of cows, pigs, chickens, etc. to make them. i know it sounds absolutely horrible right? it's just the stuff that they can't get a nice cut of steak out of it or roast. the meat is too small or has too much fat in it so they cut it up and turn it to mush. i've never actually read the nutrition label on them but i'm sure it's not that bad except for the salt content. it's meat, contains a lot of protein i imagine. (recipe idea: slit down middle and put some cheese the split and microwave, watch them cook cus no one likes hard hot dog) good luck

They provide some nutritional value but they're not "good for you". They contain a lot of fat...too much in fact!

Try the all natural beef kind. They are so much better for her. They are free of nitrates and preservatives. Plus they're beef not pig!
