Millionare is correct. It is from a poet, a famous Colombian Poet. For anyone who has never been to Cartagena (or Colombia for that matter) you are missing out. Beautiful city, magnificent as is Bogota and the rest of the safe areas of Colombia. I try to go there as often as possible. The people are FANTASTIC and so friendly. The eating is out of this world. The only thing that gets me a bit nervous (in Bogota anyway) is the traffic...*phew* you have to have nerves of steel. Taxis are the go'er and boy you have to close your eyes and just smile through gritted teeth !!! LOL

It comes from a poem by ironic, satirical, witty local poet "Tuerto" López, that referes to the love of the poet for his old town as the attachment one may feels towards his or her own worn out shoes. I find it touching.
