was wondering if anyone had heard of organaisations ,trusts or charitys where they supply the manpower and i will supply the materials to lend a hand in making a garden accessible for an 8 year old wheelchair bound. we are looking for a conservatory base to be built which we will pay for so that we can put exercise equipment in IE like turn it into a multi gym to help her improve her muscles. we are based in Scotland and are even open to builders to come and give us a quote to help us out

you could get in touch with the princes trust ( http://www.princes-trust.org.uk/ ), you just fill a form in and the volunteers vote on which project they'd like to do. also millennium volunteers is worth a go ( http://www.mvscotland.org.uk/). there would also be the possiblity of getting probation services involved. hope you find someone x

I remember many years ago when I was at school ( 25 years to be exact arrrrgh!!!!) There was a little boy that needed physio and he too was in a wheel chair, our school raised enough money and a mobile home was set up in his garden, we all took turns in going and helping with his therapy, it was very rewarding.

Contact your local Volunteer Centre http://www.volunteerscotland.org.uk/default.aspx?popupValue=yes
and ask if they can find you a group of volunteers or a local charity to help you. They will have a database of lcoal organisations and will know who does what.

I do not know but it sounds like good works and the internet is a good start.people can stear you in the right direction.there must be charity places around you that can help or similar groups.We in the u.s.a. have habitat for humanity that does that for housing
