Theres this guy I really like, and a friend of mine who's one of those know-everything girls told me that he was going to ask me out to the V-day dance. My ex happens to be the guy's friend, and he told me the guy wasn't going to, and he just likes me as a friend. Then, at the dance the guy I like actually asked me out, but I'm wondering if he's just being nice or if he actually likes me. What do I do?

You and only you can make that decision.You sound like you listen to everyone but your own heart. You make that choice.Maybe he does like you as a friend but he did ask you so take it from there. Some serious relationships start with a good strong friendship. If you are still bothered by this ask him. I`m sure he will tell you. Also have you stopped to think that maybe your ex doesn`t want you to see someone else.

Sounds like your ex put doubts in your mind. If the guy asked you out it wasn't just to be nice. I think your ex doesn't want you to move on, he must still have some feelings for you. Ignore what your ex says, he's just jealous. Go out and have a good time.

Very few guys will ask a girl out simply to feel nice. If they ask you out, they like you, 99% of the time. If you're really unsure about it, ask him. I'm sure he won't mind giving you extra reassurance that you likes you ;)

If you like him go out with him. Does it really matter if he's "just" being nice? It's just so much easier to trust yourself...your heart..than others. So if it feels right do it.
