my friend broke up with her boyfriend a year ago because she said he acted like a jerk. she hasnt stopped talking about him and im going crazy listening to her! I dont want to be rude to her, so what can i do to get her mind off him?

Just talk to her first. She probably has no idea that you feel the way you do and instead thinks that you're a good friend to turn to in order to vent. You just have to tell her that you've noticed that she's been talking about this guy a lot and maybe she hasn't had closure yet. Take her out maybe to a club or something to "scope" out guys for fun-don't force anything!

interesting because that sounds like me i broke up with my bf a year ago and i cant stop talking about him in till recently when i took all his letters a couple of pictures of him and burned the ("burned him out of my life") and i also told him how i felt and that took him off my mind. its better then keeping her love for him bottled up because that just makes it worst give her some of my ideas tell her nicely that you know she is still in love with him and that she should do some of these things to help her get over him :) hopefully it will work for her like it did for me :)

she obviously is not over the guy because a year is too much i think she stills loves him that is why she can't stop talking about him but if there is no chance of getting back together with him then you tell her this
" ITS OVER MOVE ON LIFE MOVES ON AND HE DID AND SO SHOULD YOU" smack her a few times if you have to but get her bf out of her head.
