Most definitely! After you've had your first child...the second one is easier because you're used to the pain, the stretch of the cervix, and the strain in the hips.

Liz, my first labour was about 36 hours, second about 14, and third 10. It's no so much that it's any easier but generally a shorter time period for the really painful second stage. Good luck with your next bub!

My second labour was much easier than the first. But I also think it was because I knew what to expect and how to handle it and didnt freak out.
My first labour was for 9 hrs I kept pushing when I didnt need to as I didnt know when I was meant to push. I had my waters broken which was very painful. I finallly decided on an epidural ( never planned on having one) but I freaked out when they went to put the needle in and thats when my girl decided to make her first appearance. Her head kept coming out and going back in (painful) so it took a bit for alll of her to actually get out.
Second labour I dealt with most of it at home as I knew what was going on and wasnt as scared. Also my contractions were not as painful as with the first. My waters broke at hospital and I gave birth an hour and a half after getting to the hospital and she just slid right out. It was funny because I was falling asleep and suddenly I felt her head was out and I told my Mum to call the midwives as she was just slipping out all by herself.

It depends on the baby. My first was fairly easy, had some back labor. It took about 7 hrs with no epidural or drugs of any kind. My second was 2 1/2 lbs bigger than the first, was transverse lie and his shoulders were too big for me. They had to dislocate his shoulder to deliver him. Again, no epidural. My 3rd was stuck, and after 4 hrs of pushing they used a vaccuum to extract her. That time I got a spinal block. The 4th time my doctor got smart and delivered the baby by c-section!

it rather be, but not always, your baby is all ok? then probably it would be more easier than the first.
i have 3 childs, and with the second, i went to the hospital and she born in one our since i was admitted, so easily, but with the trhird, the gyn was going on vacations so he think that was better to have my baby before the day, and was not easier, like the second one, but was problem of the doctor, not mine or my baby
so good luck to yo and your new baby

well my first labor was 17 hours and my second was 9. but you don't really know what's gonna happen with the first, but you do with the second, so i think the second was harder.
