Your smile shone bright as you danced through life
Sharing your gifts with all who came near
Your brothers and I will never forget
The precious moments we shared
Suddenly, the night sky appears brighter
We believe it is because of your smile
Keep smiling, for the brightness will be our guide
From now and throughout eternity

First and foremost I am sorry for your loss. My fiance is a soldier and these are poems that were given to him.

"Theres a race of men that dont fit in, a race that cant stay still; so they break the hearts of kith and kin; and they roam the world at will.
They range the field and they rove the flood; theirs is the curse of gypsy clood, and they dont know how to rest.
If they just went straight they might go far; They are strong and brave and true; but they've always tired of the things that are, and they want the strange and new"

"They are called to be in uniform
To serve both day and night
Protecting our great country
To fight the valiant fight
To Rescue us from danger
at home, across the sea
Brave and special people
Who keep our nation free
And together on a mission
Our heroes, they are there
Every color, every creed
With freedoms light to share
And day by day, step by step
All for one and one for all
Our heroes stand together
To answer freedoms call."

God bless your family and his memory.

Walk Slowly by Adelaide Love or

There Is No Death by J.L. McCreery

The voice of birdlike melody
that we have missed and mourned so long,
Now mingles with the angel choir in everlasting song.

There is no death! Although we grieve
When beautiful, familiar forms
That we have learned to love are torn
From our embracing arms-
Although with bowed and breaking heart,
With sable garb and silent tread,
We bear their senseless dust to rest,
And say that they are "dead".
They are not dead! They have but passed
Beyond the mists that bind us here
Into the new and larger life
Of that serener sphere.
And ever near us, thought unseen,
The dear, immortal spirits tread-
For all the boundless universe is life-
there are no dead!

If you can't find the words to Walk Slowly you can e mail me in Answers and I will provide them for you.

Will look up others and see what I can find. It's the least any of us can do.

Please accept my condolences. My cousin was blown to bits when a roadside bomb hit a truck he was riding in. He is still alive(barely) and looking at yrs of therapy and has allready had like 12 surgeries to repair his legs and other parts. Still more to come too. I can sympathise with you. My prayers are with you and your family. GOD BLESS

MISS ME, BUT LET ME GO

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free
Miss me a little--but not for long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that we once shared
Miss me, but let me go

For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone
It's all a part of the master's plan
A stop on the road to home
So when you're lonely and sick at heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
Miss me, but let me go

here is a poem it's called The Unknown Soldier's Prayer
Look, God I have never spoken to You,
But now i want to say,"How do you do?"
You see, God, they told me you didn't exist,
And, like a fool, I believed all this.

Last night from a shell hole I saw Your sky--
I figured right then they had talk me a lie.
Had i taken time to see things You made,
I'd have known they weren't calling a spade a spade.

I wonder, God. if You'd shake my hand;
Somehow, I feel that You will understand,
Funny I had to come to this hellish place,
Before I had time to see your face.

Well, I guess there isn't much more to say,
But I'm sure glad, God,I met You today.
I guess the "zero hour" will soon be here,
But I'm not afraid since I know You're near.

The signal! Well, God, I'll have to go;
I like You lots, this I want You to know.
Look, now, this will be a horrible fight--
Who knows, I may come to Your house tonight.

Thought I wasn't friendly to You before,
I wonder, God if You'd wait at Your door.
Look, I'm crying! Me! shedding tears--
I wish I had known You these many years.

Well, I have to go now, God. Good-bye!
Strange, since I met You, I'm not afraid to die.

if tears could build a stairway

If tears could build a stairway
and memories were a lane,
I would walk right up to heaven
to bring you home again.
No farewell words were spoken,
no time to say goodbye,
You were gone before I knew it,
and only God knows why.
My heart still aches with sadness
and secret tears still flow,
What it meant to loose you~
no one will every know!

My tears show my pride in you,
There will be none ever like you.

You are my heart, my blood, my part,
My son, we shall never be apart.

You were there in good and bad,
You were the best friend we ever had.

I am sincerely sorry for your loss. I will pray for his soul and your family and friends. I wrote this down for you. It is the only thing i can come up with. Your emotions of pride and sorrows can not be written down in words. I am grateful that we have people like your son who care more about the nation than themselves. I am thankful to him and your family...God bless his soul and your family...GuruBhai.

Although your son is gone he will not be far,
he'll be looking down at you through a shiny star.
