I can't get my scanner to work! What can I do?

I have a Lexmark X1270 and I can print things but my scanner doesn't work.

Reinstall the software that came with it. Apparently windows has misplaced the driver.

Look on the disk or in the manual that came with the scanner/printer and see if there is special software you have to install to do scanning. Mine does but it's not a Lexmark.
