The army is the branch of the armed forces dedicated to land combat. They have an extremely broad array of capabilities, from heavy artillery to engineers to occupation management, etc. The marines are much smaller, and are actually just a part of the navy. They are the part of the navy dedicated to combat. Originally, marines were the riflemen on a sea-going vessel whose job it was to pick of the enemy's officers. In the US Marines, they also are proficient at amphibious assaults and other land-based combat. However, their non-combat capabilities are severely limited.

not a lot. Ive considered both part. Marines have a tighter brotherhood than military. the tutorial is fairly a similar except rigidity degrees are better than military. Dont have self assurance the slogan "worlds foremost combating rigidity" is a recruiting compain slogan. Marines are undesirable as$ warriors yet absolutely not the foremost of the international. Marines have low numbers. very last time i checked they dont even smash three hundred,000 troops. military is giant compared to marines. Pay abd benifits is an same dispite properly-known rumors. If u decide on sturdy brotherhood and much more effective custom thats nonetheless practiced in all ativities, marines is for u. If u decide on something a lot less stressful on the guidelines, then flow military. Oh yeah...marine corps doesnt have medical doctors or clergy. They use the military's as is the military does have their very personal medical doctors and clergy.

For all these people saying marines=water. Hate to break it to you, but navy=water, not marines. When it comes to war, the marines are the first to fight. People join the marines because, in the military world, they are considered the most "hard core." A lot of marines say that a-r-m-y means aren't ready for the marines yet. Either way, they are both respectable and serve our country the best they can.

The Army on the other hand, is set up for long sustained ground combat. The Army has been in such places for many years such as Germany, Korea, Bosnia, Kosovo, Kuwait, and Iraq.
I am in the Army and i think all the services are important. Every service brings it's own special ability to the fight.

The Marines are like a branch of the Navy. They're rough, tough and completely bonkers - they love getting naked. The Army are the same except a bit more normal.

About 500,000 soldiers. Marines are more for taking ground. The Army then holds it while the Marines go somewhere else.
