I was out last night with work colleagues and a girl who I work with said she wanted to clear the air (I thought everything was ok). She said to me:

She wants us to get on - at work and outside
Told me that I should drop the 'attitude'
She wants to trust me and hopes that I don't back stab her e.g. talk about her behind her back
She wants us to get to know each other better

When we're alone we find it difficult to talk to each other and it goes silent ASAP.(happened today at work!)

Each time we talk, I find it more uncomfortable/difficult as I don't know what to say! She's asked if I'd go to her birthday bash in a few weeks - I don't know what to say???

Why did she feel the need to 'clear the air'???
Suggestions on how to deal with this???

p.s. we do flirt with each other and she has a Boyfriend of 2 years.Colleagues say we have a love/hate WORK relationship

She also said that if we business(work) and pleasure(socialising after work) should not be mixed - work issues stay at work.....

shes probably been told by gossipers that you are stiring trouble. go talk to her and say that you arent doing anything of the sort. you probably do have a love/hate relationship, but i doubtits anything other than friendly banter or work.

i think your colleagues are right, i think she really does fancy you but you have failed to notice this and have not yet asked her out, she feels an awkward atmosphere cos of this hence why she needed to clear the air, steer clear though untill if or when she splits with her b/f

if she has a boyfriend then tell her it is purely a work relationship, if you dont to many people could get hurt from this & how could you even think of her in this way if she is such a bad & dishonest person.shame on you.

Sounds like she wants to be in control of ANY relationship. barking out orders to you like you have to listen to her or else. I would keep my distance, especially if she is involved.
