no, the hpv vaccination just makes sure you can't get hpv, it doesn't cure warts. warts go away over time.

Warts have similarities, but genital warts & warts found on other parts of the body are different; refered to as HPV-1 and HPV-2, if you have bodily warts it won't cause you to contract genital warts, and visa-versa. I'm guessing that Gardasil prevents multiplication of the virus, so it may well reduce both HPV-1 & 2.

Almost certainly not.
GARDASIL (the vaccine for four bad strains of HPV) protects against genital warts (a completely different animal from plantar warts) AND you supposedly have to get the shot BEFORE you are exposed to these strains to see any positive results.
On the other hand, the shots do contain other ingredients (aluminum salts for one) that spur your immunological system because it recognizes them as foreign invaders. It is possible (though highly unlikely) that this response helped the warts on your feet dissipate. Our immunological systems are much like ecologies of good cells and bad cells, so it is very difficult to rule anything out completely.
Check out the source links below before you decide whether aluminum adjuvants in vaccines are a good or bad thing.

I recently went to a review session on Gardasil. I would not think plantar warts would go away from the use of Gardasil. And I think that if you were to have vaginal warts that just because you got Gardasil the warts won't go away, it will only help you against the other types of HPV, because Garadsil is a vaccination not a treatment medication. So the warts going away on your feet probably has nothing to do with you receving Gardasil.

the hpv virus causes genital warts. the warts on your feet have nothing to do with this virus or the vaccination. You can help prevent warts from showing up on your body by eating bananas. Warts are caused from a lack of potasium in the diet. so just eat a banana everyday and you should be fine.

As a healthcare provider I can tell you that the vaccine had nothing to do with your plantar wart diminishing. I do want to say that its GREAT that you are receiving Gardasil. My office has not started carrying the vaccine yet, so I have to send my patients to another office or provider for it. I am always concerned that this will interfere with thier decision to take the series of injections. This vaccine is one of the greatest offerings we have had in a number of years. It is 100% effective in its power to prevent four strains of HPV. This could save women's lives. To any female who reads this: get the vaccine...please.

HPV is so so common!! I've recently had a biopsy on my cervix because I have it, I've never had warts though and I'm so obsessed with condoms but accidents happen. I cant believe that you never even mentioned wearing a condom?!?! If neither of you thought of wearing a condom I'd think that there is probably more serious STDs you should be worrying about!!

That's interesting! Possibly if the warts are the same strain as the Human Pampilloma Virus!

Doubtful. The vaccine doesn't cure or kill after you're infected, it prevents. Plus, it only protects you against certain strains of the virus (4, I think). I don't think the strains that cause foot warts, etc. are the same ones.

It could be, or it could be that your natural immune system has won that battle.
HPV comes in MANYYY different 'versions', the same wart that causes the cervical cancer isnt the same wart on your foot, etc.
