well we had a phone conversation when he asked me out and I think I went a bit awkward on him when I said yes and in the end I felt weird if he thought I was unsure and stuff and would it be ok to send him a message or email saying, sorry for freaking out it's just that I've never dated before and I feel weird about it! ? Or something else? I doubt I'd have the guts to call him!
