Yes.... I believe they will be allowed into heaven... Jesus said, Let the Children come to me (Luke 18:16) often people with that kind of handicap have the mind of a child and I believe that they understand things a whole lot better than those without the handicap

You understand neither the scriptures or the power of G*d!

First of all, no one is going to heaven. There is NO WHERE in the Bible that states that. You can contact you minister and he will not be able to find it for you.

To get the heat off his back he will just tell you that's not true, or ignore the guy, etc.

Second of all, the handicapped person is in the same boat as the buddhist, Islam, Catholics, Mormons (to name a few false religion) who have NEVER heard the truth!

They will be give the FIRST chance when Christ returns and banished Satan who has "DECIEVED THE WHOLE WORLD".

Bible Lesson 101

The bible says that we should acknowledge the world as soon as we are allowed to understand it. Which is the reason little kids go to heaven since they do not understand sin yet or the meaning of repentance. A mentally ill person would not have known the word of God and may not be able to comprehend the Word.

People who are mentally handicapped always remain children in their minds. They are not capable of making a decision about receiving Christ so therefore that would make them exempt from condemnation, the same as children.
I believe it is the uniform testimony of Scripture that those who are not capable of making a decision to receive Jesus Christ, and who have died, are now with Christ in heaven, resting in His tender arms, enjoying the sweetness of His love. There are numerous factors supporting this viewpoint.
It is highly revealing that in all the descriptions of Hell in the Bible, we NEVER read of infants or little children there. Only adults capable of making decisions are seen there. Nor do we read of infants and little children standing before the Great White Throne judgement, which is the judgement of the wicked dead and the precursor to the lake of fire (Rev 20:11-15). The complete silence of Scripture regarding the presence of infants in eternal torment militates against their being there.
Jesus and the children. As we examine instances in which Christ encountered children during His earthly ministry, it would seem that children have a special place in His kingdom. Jesus even said, "Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven" (Mat 18:3) He also said, "Whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me (verse 5). I don't think there is any way someone could read through Matthew 18 and conclude that it is within the realm of possibility that Jesus could damn such little ones to hell!

The people who are the face of the major religions are becoming more and more liberal. After all they too must go with the times. Both people who are mentally handicapped or babys who die, or people who happen to be born in a remote place in this world - will all go to heaven. In fact if you can' chose between becoming a christian, Muslim,. or hindu your best bet for getting to heaven is to hit yourself on the head - and become mentally handicaped. -Then you will go to all heavens.
I wonder if people who believe in a God will go to heaven.

Only God can answer that question. What was the purpose of God making that person that way anyway? We can't answer that either. But everyone that is born has a purpose. God is a mysterious God and some things we can't question him on but to be revealed his mystery's once we join him in heaven if he choose to reveal them then. Let his perfect will be done.

yes, if indeed that person has a good heart, and is in the name of the lord in either baptism, belief or does not sin, only then would thatperson enter heaven, but im sure that god would forgive someone who has no control over whether or not he is involved with the lord, as long as that is not effecting anybody, and although it is not exactly doing anything wrong, a person with a good heart will go to heaven for sure......
god does not think about the hate in life, god makes sure of love and only love....

Even Catholicism in recent times has shed the doctrine of Hell. Under this theory, atheists simply don't have an afterlife. You could just as well ask, what happens if a "saved" Christian suffers a head injury and loses the ability to continue their relatonship with God through Christ? Would he not go to heaven? I couldn't feel good about serving a God who would deny salvation in that kind of circumstance, but then I couldn't feel good about serving a God who condemned atheists to hell either.

I think the handicapped are God's special children. Most of them can't comprehend what we can, but they have so much love and innocence in their hearts. Yes, I feel they most certainly go to heaven.

Yes. That person is obviously born into a sinful world but is also mentally incapable of sinning. Like an infant. God will forgive His innocents everytime!
