I'm flying on Northwest Airlines and I was wondering if there is a limited amount of liquid you can bring. I know it has to be three ounces or less in a quart-sized ziplock bag, but how many of those three ounce bagged liquids am I allowed to bring? Am I only allowed to have one piece of baggage to carry on? For ladies, does a purse count as carry-on baggage if I'm only allowed to bring one suitcase? What are the limits for carry-on baggage? Help!!!

Does a coat qualify as a carry-on item or can I be wearing a coat/jacket, carrying a purse, and lugging a piece of luggage all at the same time?

The best place to find your answers are on the airline's website. When I've flown, I've been allowed one carryon and one personal item (ie: purse). I think you can only have one zip lock bag with liquids (3 oz or less) and items have to fit comfortably in the bag (not packed full). Have a good trip

Many things vary with the airline and with the security people where you're travelling from. Strictly speaking you aren't on international flights allowed a purse AND a bag -- just the one bag into which you may put the purse etc. But you should be allowed a coat as long as you're wearing it when you board.

Most of these rules are imposed by the federal gov't. and not the airline. All of the information is at www.tsa.gov

You're allowed one "personal item" which includes a purse in addition to one carry-on bag.

if your purse isn't huge, it is not considered a carry on bag. If you wear the coat, they can't consider that luggage. I assume it's one zip-lock bag per person.
