It really depends on what they have done. If they're abusive, there is no forgiveness from me; they need help I can't give them. But if they just did something that in the grand scheme of things isn't going to cause something horrible to happen to the relationship or to those you love, or isn't something huge (like cheating, abuse, threatening you/your family), then you have to have the capacity to forgive them as many times as it takes. I think it also depends on your feelings for the person. Just make sure that if you cannot forgive a person that you'd expect to not be forgiven if the roles were reversed. No one is perfect; we all make mistakes, and we all need forgiveness from time to time. I hope this helps you!

The bible says seventy times seven, but that means always to forgive over and over, as we have been forgiven more times than we could count. While you are doing that forgiving, be sure to forgive yourself as well and build respect. Forgiveness doesn't give others a license to treat you poorly but it frees you completely from all negative weight.

It depends on what they have done?
But if it was cheating then i wouldn't forgive them, something in the relationship must have been wrong for them to cheat but in my eye's this is a chickens way out and talking through issues is more respect-full.
If they have told a lie, then that would need to be analysed further

Depends, if it's because some one cheated who had cheated on a relationship, they shouldn't be forgiven, once a cheat , always a cheat.

A million times over but only once per mistake. If its a different mistake then forgive them at least once for every mistake they make, but if they do it again then let go. Dont let thim make the same mistake twice cause then its not a mistake then its on purpose.

They should be forgiven until there comes a time when you realize that they aren't going to learn from their mistakes, & you tell them you're not going to put up with their behaviour any more.

I usually give the person the benefit of doubt the first time. The second time is one too many! Good luck!
