1st you can find your dad if you want to do that by a national registry on the net.You need his name and PP#. As for your mother getting rid of the drunken husband may be a good thing for all. The boyfriend is not permanent so do not stress over that. It takes both you and your mother to make your relationship work so be easy on yourself.Stay true to you and the changes you have made. You may have out grown your friends. Be positive about things and get out there and make new friend and live your life.Talk to Mom about you getting family counseling to make it better if you feel you can do it.

My mom passed away a few years ago, and she always had these messed up men in her life, she was pretty messed up herself, we always fought, and my dad lived in a different state and was ussually locked up to, now that i am older and have lost my mom, and have children of my own, I realize parents, most parents, love their children the best way that they know how, they give them every bit of love that they can, it may not seem like much, but sometimes it is all tht they can give. Life is to short to argue with the woman that brought you life. Find your father, build a relationship, stop quarrelling, parents want their childrens respect, whether or not the child thinks they deserve it. Don't waste time, it is precious!!

The best way is to just be honest and you got to lay your feelings out there and just tell her how you feel. And tell her how everything that has happenend has affected you and you have to tell her what you want from her. I cant guarantee it will work but at least when its been a couple of years later you wont have to live with the regret of not making yourself vulnerable and not speaking to her...

Just be honest and lay your feelings out on the carpet.Tell your mum you would like a relationship with her..Maybe your mother has problem dealing with relationships. If you break the ice then perhaps your mum might come round.
