Stop playing when he bites, and say "NO." Don't let your son play with him until he's back from obedience school.

Watch their body language at the same time as they're doing that. If the tails (or which includes your Boston Terrier, the completed rear end) are wagging, and if both of the canines flow right into a bowing position (with their butt sticking up contained in the air), they're purely playing. Nips and growls and jumping are all organic in canines play. believe me, you'd be ready to tell at the same time as canines are heavily combating. it really is a lot louder than playing, and far better aggressive.

He's a puppy. Pretty much mentality as a human baby.He wants to play! Gently scold him on the nose and say "NO". Meanwhile, prevention is key with your son. Wait till he starts teathing! How does the boy play-rough or gentle? That makes a difference.

It's always bad to have puppies playing with your hands period so make sure people arent using their hands as bait for attention. So everytime he bites whether it hurts or not, firmly hold its snout (don't hit, remember dogs are like children, hitting them just teaches them violence.) look into his eyes at his level and loudly say NO!
Depending on the breed of dog that it is you might have to do it for up to a week but HE/SHE WILL get the hint and finally stop.
(ex: border collie, german shepherd, lab= couple of days....any terrier, boxer or shih tsu or anything could take up to 2 weeks.)

Also make sure not to let the dog get its way...if it's whining for attention don't give it to him, only give him attention a couple minutes after he whines so he knows not to be manipulative...no table food...no hitting...and no jumping up on people (the whole no thing works with almost everything so long as you do it right after the incident)

oh and one other thing that I cant tell people with puppies enough always play with there paws and get them used crates.

Tell the pup no bite !! firm and remove the pup from the situation. Like a kid. You need to supervise the dog and your son. My Sheppard pup is 3m old and I cant leave the kids alone with her they get going together and it gets out of control quick.

you can try to get him to "mouth you" and when he does,, let out a LOUD cry/yip and say UT UH and pinch his cheek a little,,,, he only knows how he played with his littermates... he does not know that he cannot play with you this way... won't take long.. be fair,, be consistent.... and Congratulations on dog school that is great
