If we get to Hell and find that it truly is a "lake of fire", won't we simply get used to it after awhile, thus eventually making it quite routine?

"Hell" could be something very different to what everyone says also, it could be each of our own horrible experiences in life that we go through, without a lake of fire, or demons or anyone dressed in a bad red suit adorned with plastic horns.

To me, my own personal hell after I die, would be to be sitting in a chair watching a slide-show of my entire life where every bad thought I had, everything I had seen and hated, everything someone has said or done to me, will be shown on a large screen in surround sound, and the Projectionist adding new horrid slides of my life one afte the other, without letting up for eternity.
That is called the 'Slide-Show of Horror' a few friends and I have born into existence.

This is the description of Hell that I think is terrible but seemingly the reality,I read this in a book by an exorcist in Italy.
Hell is without love and can never again feel love, everyone there exists or lives folded within themselves and torn apart by regrets.
There is no relationship with anyone at all, everyone finds him/herselfin the most profound solitude and weeps desperately for the evil he/she commited,in short it is an eternal cemetery.
So if this is indeed what it is like to endure Hell, the lake of fire is certainly not the worst feature.

No dear - the Word says it is a place of excruciating torments, "where the worm dieth not." It is a place you never throughout eternity "get used to." There is nothing "routine" about the torments of hell which will eventually be poured into the Lake of Fire.

Well it says that you will be thirsty and there will be a day of judge meant and the lake of fire. However, I think that the devil will not try to make it bad for you because he is down there without God and hell is with out God so he is struck there to. In addition, I do not think you would get used to it think about being torched and stuff always going rong. Im pretty sure, the Bible say that it will be contuse agony.

It is possible that could happen, but there is not a hope in Hell that it will ever end. We will be stuck there for eternity.
The degree of punishment will be commensurate with one's sin against the light which one has received.
One good passage that indicated degrees of punishment is Luke 12:47-48: "That servant who know his master's will and does not get ready or does not do what his master wants will be BEATEN WITH MANY BLOWS. But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be BEATEN WITH FEW BLOWS. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked". Other verses on this issue include MAT 10:15; 16:27; Rev. 20:12,13; 22:12.
Jesus affirmed that the wicked "will go away to ETERNAL punishment, but the righteous to ETERNAL life" (Mat 25:460

The lake of fire is the most selfish place you can end up in. That is because all you will be thinking about for all eternity is your own eternal pain, agony, and suffering.

The lake of fire was really made for the devil and his angels (see Matthew 25:41 below). The devil wanted to be worshiped like God. That was selfish. That's why he was cast out of heaven. Selfishness has no place in God's kingdom. Only God has the rightful place to be worshiped by everyone. No angel or human has the right to be worshiped like God. That's because there is no other God but God.

Hell is a "lake of fire". However, this fire is a symbol. This symbol represents an eternal presence without the love of God. Imagine having thoughts and feelings without the love of God and the spirtual fullfillness of the Holy Spirit. Both God and the Holy Spirit are with you now. What would an eternal existence without them be like?

No, we would never get use to it and there will be a lot of the pain. That is a place where the worm never dies. Hell will be very infested with worms. There will be torment day and night. No one will be able to escape. Revelation only gives us the tip of the iceberg of the communications in Hell. It is much more severe then that!! But as you know God is trying to warn us so that we won't end up there.
