The whole deal that women believe that expensive gifts are romantic is the sacrifice that a man offers her a gift that costs him a great amount of his time and self sacrifice and ball it up in one gift and hand it to her means that the man has shown his true love to her by giving a large part of his hard work to her.

Then on the other hand she just wants the time you sacrificed for her. To be her monetary gain.

Honestly, I'm a girl that plays sports and is really active yet loves being a girly girl. I hate getting jeweleryas a gift. To me it's dumb. Infact for my wedding ring i want a small silver ring. Thats it. It just depends on the girl. I would rather just have a fun night out for a gift or even a fun night in. Thats it. Price should never matter. Just the fact that there is thought put into it.

I think the only reason it is romantic is when the guy gets behind the girl and puts the jewelry on the girl and then they make out! That is so HOT!!!

The gold diggers like material things, and the real caring women care more about the affection showered upon them, rather than material things. The lesson here is, to choose your ladies wisely and carefully. If she is a gold digger, ditch her.
