I would be very surprised if Eldora had an IROC race. Eldora is a 1/2 mile dirt track with limited seating.

If there is a dirt track that could pull of an IROC race it would be Eldora. Earl Baltes (the original builder/owner) had enough stones to do something like this. He was a real showman! I'll drive 10 hours one way to go to Eldora Speedway 2 or 3 times a year. It's a great place. Limited seating? Hmmm, I've been there for the World 100 when they have sat 35,000 people. With Tony's ownership it could still happen. But come on let's get real. IROC? What a joke of a series!

IROC at Eldora would be awsome but maybe next year. This year IROC is in trouble. They don't have a main sponsor and the last I heard, there's not going to be a Daytona race due to lack of funding. according to the IROC webpage, "All plans regarding the remainder of 2007 are pending the procurement of a title sponsor."

Tony Stewart said he would do whatever it took to get IROC to Eldora. The main problem at the moment is that IROC has no corporate sponsor, and has scrapped the race at Daytona already. Personally, I'd love to see IROC on dirt... and I'm not a dirt track fanatic, although I do enjoy it along with pavement racing.

The even bigger question is "IS IROC gonna be able to race at all without a title sponsor" but they wont have one @ eldora. at least not this year(07)

I have heard rumors that they are working on it. Last thing I heard was also that the IROC series is on hold until a sponsor signs on. That would be a great thing to see.

IROC has four races a year(?) i think they should include dirt, superspeedway(daytona/ talledega) short(bristol/ martinsville) paved oval, and road course.
there was talk but i think that's all as far as eldora.

I heard Tony talking about it. I guess he would pay them like a million dollars to race there.
