I just wondered what you do all day - there is no need to eat, sleep, work, breathe, have sex, exercise etc etc.

I don't want to go there if there's no chocolate or sex. I'd rather stay here.

You will only know if you go there, although I have wondered the same thing, and also why people would strive to be there, if it is as good as they say, without any answer of what you can do the pass the time over the eternity.

The Bible says we will worship him, but that is not all we will do. We will still have jobs and the bible says we still eat too....can u imagine that God could create a place where ur mind does not have to wonder this? Many ppl think they will be bored in heaven, but if God is so powerful, which he is, cant he create a place that is not boring but yet fun? It will be!

Those going to heaven will have a job. They will be part of God's heavenly government ruling over the people living forever on the earth. (Rev. 5:10 - "...and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.” See also Rev. 22:5)

This question usually comes up as a result of some basic misconception about heaven, and our purpose on earth. Anyone who sees heaven as a place (which you go to after death) is likely to miss the point; so would someone who believes that his/her purpose on earth is to simply worship or glorify God.

To start with, see heaven not as a place (as in a physical structure with boundaries) but as a level of consciousness. The 'place' in your dream for example is not a physical structure, but it can be used to describe a type of heaven. And yes, there are many heavens, lots and lots of them. Remember "In my Father's house, there are many mansions."? Jesus was telling his disciples that there were many heavens.

Then see your purpose on earth as an opportunity to learn how to be more God-like. In other words, this earth is a spiritual school, a damn good one for that matter. (Incidentally, our educational system is modelled after the divine plan.) Upon completion of your spiritual education here on earth, you go to the next class, which corresponds to the next level of heaven.

You do basically the same things in the new heaven as the one you just left, but with a higher consciousness. Your rise through the heavens continues as your consciousness also rises, and you understand God's ways more and more. It is only when we fully understand God's ways that we can be of use to Him. And our spiritual destiny is to be useful to God by co-working with Him. Co-working with God can involve far more things than our simple minds can imagine, much more exciting than just sitting in one place doing nothing or just singing.

Please be assured that most of us are almost completely useless to God in our earthly consciousness. At this stage of our spiritual development, we are NOT as useful to God as a kindergarten pupil is useful to Einstein in his laboratory.

I believe we are reunited with our loved ones and enter into the kingdom of heaven and who says non of the above are not required, you can put all six plus activities into one by wanting to work as an all in one. It will be a peacefull place with plenty of love for sure.

You don't need to do stuff but you can do things just for fun.

but with all that spare time on your hands you might decide to get involved in Philantropic work and return to the material world to help the less fortunate.

You are in a constant state of ecstasy.
Whatever you are doing, you are doing with senses that are a thousand times more sensitive than any you have now. Touch, hearing, sight...all these things are so multiplied that if you weren't dead already, you'd have died of joy.

And that is only the beginning....

this life is a preparation for the next, so in heaven, we will be working ... not for a capitalist boss .. but for Jesus ... we will be in the army of the Lord. we will be doing all the things we have always wanted to do, as long as Jesus approves.
