My co-worker, is always talking to herself. And it can get pretty annoying at times. She's in her early 30s, seems normal other than that. She announces to herself what her next move will be. Can these be signs of a Mental condition or it's just the way she is?
She keeps to herself mostly, doesn't talk as much. I think she talks to herself more than she talks to others. I mean, it's not like she doesn't get along with the others, she jokes w/ them and all. Our company is very small, relaxed environment, not too stressful. We all get along great.
Well I think she does it, and thinks we'll answer her or start a conversation about whatever she says. But no one says nothing.
Well I have gotten to know her, now she's the the sharpest knife in the drawer, tends to be a little slow most of the times. Doesn't grasp to instructions too well.

if the only problem is talking to herself it may indicate her constant reminder due to losing her attention span so quick .
it seems like she is fearful of forgetting the information quickly .
self talking itself does not indicate any abnromality unless it is associated with other problems like hearing /seeing things which are not there or losing touch with reality .

Not the sharpest knife, eh? Reminds me of myself..lol But really, I wouldn't count them as dumb just yet. Yes some people are a bit slower than others in social situations or around others, but on their own they can think as well and sometimes even better than others.

As far as being crazy, if your company is so relaxed, maybe she feels comfortable doing that around there. Some people that do that probably wouldn't do it in front of others, but maybe at home alone or something. It says a lot for your company, and really a lot for you coworkers, too, that you don't make fun of her.

I do the samething. Its completely natural to talk to yourself. It is just weird when someone else sees you do even though they do it themselves. Everyone thinks about what they are going to say if someone says something to them or if someone hits you what would you do. How do you thinking all these books and movies are being made? There are tons of people out there that have lots of thoughts in their head and sometimes it just comes of your mouth. And think about it..With the making an ad think about it. You are the one who asked the question and you are the one who is looking for the answer so there is no imagery people. hope this helps

She probably talks to herself to keep on track, stay on task, keep focused. She may have a short attention span and need to hear things out loud to remember them. We all learn differently. That's just her way of keeping everything straight. Some of us write things down and make lists--some of us talk out loud. Funny.

no not at all infact alot of people talk to themselfs. to remember what they have to do so they dont forget, or answering there own questions.
so that dont make them insane, but if they talk about satan, or words from the bible,or just talking nonsence the maybe they are a bit offsided, but not exactly insane.
i really cant explain why in my opinion they are not insane.
but i guess to others they are nutzzz lol
i dont really judge people in such of fashion coz if you really think about it we all do it, at least everyday, soooooo there is really nothing else to say

maybe she tells herself what shes gonna do next because she needs time for her brain to register it so it doesnt end up being a bad idea...or so she takes things more slowly...she might be in some kind of life changing process

No, not 'crazy'.....I think you have a pretty good assessment of her going. She may be a bit eccentric. Truthfully, it seems like there's always one......no matter where you work at.

She's probably very insecure. She needs to see a therapist about this problem.

Yes, crazy. Can you stop your internal dialog?
