Usually the venues dont charge for children under a certain age (3 is most usual, but sometimes 5) Speak to your vendor and see what they say, if they are reputable they will give you options of either not having to pay for a child that young or a "childrens mea" which usually consists of chicken fingers and french fries.

At our wedding we had "kiddie plates" of chicken fingers and fries for the little ones. Depending on how much under 2 they are they may not even be eating regular food so their parents will probably bring them something...just make sure that there are high chairs available for them. The caterer shouldn't be charging for the little ones.
Good luck

You should not pay for children under 5. However, you need to have a conversation with the hall about that.

I can't understand your question, entirely. Are you the parents of the child, or the wedding hosts?
Yes, if you invite the child you should feed the child at the event. Many venues will serve child meals that cost less than the adult meals and are usually chicken nuggets. Ask your venue.

At 1 they are not eating "wedding food" most likely they are eating baby food or still breast feeding. i wouldnt worry about it. And normally for older kids cateres will offer a plate that is typically half the cost and more kid friendly.

Most of the time, as I've always seen, children's plates aren't charged under the age of 5.

It would depend on the venue. I would take to whoever is catering your wedding and voice your concern about paying for small children and I'm sure they will not charge you if they do im sure they will not charge full price.

if you know there are going to be children there...have your caterer make a certain kid friendly meal for them...like chicken fingers and french fries...etc. We once went to a sit down meal wedding where they served wierd food to the adults but they served chicken fingers and french fries to my nephew. We were all fighting for his meal!! haha Plus it would be in a kid sized serving and would be more appropriate than an adult meal.

I wouldn't because it would just be a waste of money. The kid isn't going to eat what's on the plate anyway.
