What is the input you're using? If you're using pre-recorded music, like an mp3 or a CD, there are much better ways to do it. If you're playing/singing something yourself and recording it on the computer, Sound Recorder may do it, but there is better software out there.

Sound recorder only records 60 sec snippets and sound quality is very poor, just save the song to your space and use the default player to hear the song.

acquire Sony Acid professional. i take advantage of it and its the final so a good distance. you are able to exchange the settings so which you will checklist in line. meaning that what ever sound that travels out of your sound card would be recorded. You wont unfastened any high quality or something. you need to use a microphone yet i does not advise it.

yes as long as it doesn't last longer than about 60 seconds.
Souind recorder is rubbish, it only handles short duration clips. there are a lot of better freeware programmes available.

Use Audacity instead, its brilliant & it's free! Then export the tracks as .aiff (apple/itunes) files, then convert them to mp3 in itunes to reduce the huge file size.
