This is how I scrunch my hair...
1)I take a shower
2)I towel dry it little by little until it is damp, but not dripping
3)DO NOT BRUSH!
4)I part my hair
5)I take sections at the bottom, and just grab it in my hand, from the bottom, and squeeze while going upward.
6)I do this until I am satisfied, and then I put hair spray on it.
7)I also put hairspray on it before, too....

This is how I scrunch my hair in the summertime. I wash my hair with john freida curl shampoo, rinse it out, then condition with john frieda curl conditioner, rinse it out, then bend over the sink or bathtub and then scrunch out excess water, then apply john frieda frizz ease and work it through my hair, scrunching while bent over. Then since it is summer it air dries quicker, then I finish it off with alittle holding spray and flip my hair back and it is good to go
