Living expences in england can be high. I rent a room in a house. renting rooms for single people in a single room can be as low as 50.00 per week all the way to 80.00 per week for a double. Large doubles start from 75.00 per all the way up to 130 per week for an en suite. You should only rent from homes with are all inclusive of bills.

Food is up to you. But i would say eating ceral for breakfast, home made sandwiches and dinner made from home is the cheapest way to eat.

You travel card can be expensive in London. so the best place to look for is homes located with access to tube stations or train stations in zones 2

You should budget approx 300 pcm rent
You should budget approx 80 pcm food
You should budget approx 70 pcm travel card zone 1-2

it can be hard working only 20hrs per week to live and eat in lonndon. You would have to look for the best highest paid job as you could work 20hrs in some jobs and not even have enough to pay for the three things just mentioned above.

Every university or college usually have there own employment centre with local jobs and accommodation centre with private renntals of rooms available. I personaly would not recomend you to stay on campus as it is expensive and not worth the money.

Have you chosen your university yet?

The exact answer depends on the area, but if you are looking at London, or the outskirts (Oxford, etc...) then expenses are high if you are spending US $. If you are living on your own you are looking at $1800-$2500 in rent and food. You can pursue private funding.

I would suggest that you steer clear of London then because the student life in London can be very expensive - I speak from experience...and empty pockets...
