You'd need to find some way of keeping it cool on the journey otherwise it might hatch on the way.

You can probably get Cadbury's Cream Eggs in the US...no need to waste postage on it.
If you do have an unquenchable desire to mail the egg though, you probably can send it in a plastic container, but I'm not certain on the customs regulations. I've received a big tin of Japanese candy from one of my friends in Japan recently. Maybe you'll have to move to Japan to get past the customs, but I don't know...you probably can send it from the UK to US.

Are you aware that they sell Cadbury Creme eggs in the USA? They are readily available all over the states.
However if you want to post them from UK to USA, yes you can send them. Chocolate is allowed by customs.

I don't think that the customs will allow a person to send food stuffs into the US. When I was in France last I bought a sausage and brought back in my bags. I declared the food and it was taken..

you can post it
make sure it is in a plastic container otherwise it will get squished
i know this for a fact cos i sent one to a friend and she had to bin it as soon as it arrived - the whole envelope was covered in the sticky stuff
then we discovered they were on sale in the shop near her anyway....
