The Persian Gulf, the Gulf of Oman, the Caspian. Sea. Bush sending war ships to the Gulf region. Ahmadinejad still 'daring' the U.S.; promising untold retaliation. Wondering why and how he should feel so confident. Our U.S. intelligence looks for uranium processing locations, etc. Some they are aware of. Some facilities they are not.
But.
Just how much do we know about this country. This Iran. The Iran-Contra Affair, the Iran-Iraq war, etc. It bothers me that he is so outwardly sure of himself, knowing the capabilities of both the U.S. and Israel. And apparently he is also rather sure of whatever capabilities the Iranians have BESIDES the nukes (r the future building of same).

Is it possible that this man has some sort of offensive or defensive capabilities located under the SEA? or other waterways beyond her borders?

Now you're thinking kid! I wish more americans used their heads to think and be proactive like you rather than making decisions from three worded patriotic slogans like 'stay the course' or 'cut and run'.
The Persian Gulf is a very narrow body of water, it would be very difficult to manuver an entire fleet in that body of water quickly. The iranians have chinese Silkworm missles which can be fired from land at sea targets and can cut a destroyer in half.

After seeing tha amazing amount of incompetence in iraq...I'll put more confidence in you for asking that question than in that knuckle head in the white house. If we're not careful, there could be a big surprise waiting for us and I no longer have the confidence that we are smart enough to forsee these type scenarios.

That would be not supporting the troops of course ;-) ha ha.

Iran would definetly attack oil interest an make prices skyrocket, $200+ a barrel and only coming from Venezuela and Niger. They'd also so some serious damage to our troops, we would prevail but it would hurt us for a long time and would probably make China the most powerfull country in the world.

Try to remember that Saddam behaved the same identical way toward us. But in the end, we saw to it that he swung from a rope. Also remember that we have 14 aircraft carrier battle groups with nuclear capabilities (two of which are on station there now at this moment) and that is just the beginning of our wrath if it is decided to be unleashed. The whole world is very much aware of these facts. Nothing much will come from this situation.

Well, Ahmadinejad happened to be the sort of person who's got the balls to stand up to Bush. He's no push-over who will be cowed to follow U.S. dictates. Still remember the time when he challenged Bush for a televised debate?. What a man...

no.. the truth is .. nothing moves in water that we dont know about...we are capable of destroying at least two thirds of the world from one sub.. that dont mean another country dont.. but I'm sure Iran don't... Iran is a terror state..they use black mail to achieve their goals.. negotiations are used to pin the opponent down..so when we use excessive force it will eliminate any questions from other nations... and we will say...i told you so

No.

Ahmadinejad is a ego-maniac who believes that with the U.S. occupied in Iraq and Afghanistan, he has a free hand.

We're fighting Iran in Iraq.

Smart idea, right? It's better than fighting Iran in Iran.

If he did he would be a fool to use them on our troops. Even if he pulled off a major devastating surprise attack we have the ability to turn his little country to glass.
