Distance wise, how many yards does the average golfer hit his sand wedge, 'G' and 'P' irons? Thanks.

Thats a tough question. An average golfer??? What is average??? shooting a 100 or a 115??? Anyway, if you make good contact and at the right angle a Pitching wedge should travel some 100 yards for the duffer. A sand wedge will lesson that distance by some 20 yards. But look at the horses who are hitting it 150 yards. I use a 9 iron on a par 3 120 yard hole. My son who is younger and stronger can hit the green with a sand wedge. So there you are. Depends on your muscle and your game.
