My husband and I would like to go out for a family night with our 16 month old, but we don't know what to do. It will be dark and raining. We live in Portland, for any of you around the area who might have ideas. We'd like to go out to eat, but where is a good family place (not fast food) and then what else could we do??

indoor putt-putt golf?

McDonalds play place (Just buy an ice cream cone after dinner and go there, let the baby run around and then the baby will fall asleep easier, so when you go home, put the baby to bed and then have some "MOMMY AND DADDY TIME" *hint hint*

Is there an arcade around? The arcades here have the balls that the babies can play in and one of them even has a net cage with a bunch of balloons and fans blowing them around. I like to watch the babies play in that one.

Bake a cake! CHOCOLATE ♥ (16 month olds like that best) and frost it with chocolate icing. Then, set out a LOAD of coulored and fun sprinkles. Let your 16 month old put whateeverr he/she wants on the cake.. then eat it and say "WOW,(_________<-Your childs name goes here) Sure did make a great cake! ;)
