I've heard that different color threads/strings on a girl's wrist says how 'far she has gone' with a guy. I think a black thread/string indicates she's done the whole soccer team. Either that or she is a closet/wannabe goth. Being an old guy like I am, sometimes I forget the particulars.

It means Hindus worship the creation(idols). Just look at their temples - they worship animals(Satan -was created being)..
They use man made beads, threads etc and give them supernaturals powers.
