You just have to simply STOP, don't let your future get ruined because of myspace and the internet, someday you will have the opportunity to do so.

I totally hear you... I think the internet is dangerous because you do little things at a time, not like sitting down and watching a whole TV show. So what can happen is that hours have passed, and you don't even know where the time went.
I've tried limiting my email/Myspace time to one session a day--just sign on once, maybe in the evening, and then don't even open it for the rest of the day. It's really hard at first, but after a few days, it starts to get easier, and after a while, it's very liberating! You realize how tied you were to the computer and get to appreciate doing other things.
The other suggestion is to be honest with yourself about why you're spending so much time on the computer; it's easy to convince yourself that you're just relaxing a little, or connecting with friends (both good things), but sometimes what you're really doing is subconsciously avoiding what needs to be done. Be strong enough to call yourself out if you're avoiding, and force yourself to do what needs doing.
Now if I could just follow that advice myself, I'd be set. :-)

I don't know to get "unnadicted" from myspace, but one thing I would say is to give yourself consequences. If you see yourself going to these bunch of waste- timer places(like Y! Answers also- unless you are asking a really important question), tell yourself the consequence you'll be getting from yourself, not from your parents, because even then you won't listen. I know. A consequence might be like staying up all night to do your homework until you finish it. And if you are really smart, like you say, you will do the right thing. I know you can do it. Hope this helps and good luck on getting "unaddicted"!

Just stop.
It helps to pick up something else to replace it.
Ask your mom if you can dance again. Tell her it's because you want to get un-addicted from the computer, so you can get better grades.

What I can say is to focus more in your studies. Well I have nothing more to say but I recommend you to stop. But if you can't really stop it, its okay as long as you can focus on your studies. Its not bad to be addicted on something as long as you will not lose focus on your studies. I'm a top student in our school but semi-addicted to games. Once I started playing, I can't really stop but I still take time to do my homeworks and projects and review for exams as well. It is not the brain who works for your grades but its you who works for it. Explain to your parents what really happened and promise them that you will do better this time. All what I can say is you can still continue that habit but give more focus on your studies and that really matters. Goodluck! ^_^

you may have some kind of attention deficit, or dislexia, making it hard to concentrate on things that you don't like... ask your mom to help you see if there is something causing you to be distracted.
