I have been building burners for veggie oil on and off for about a year just to see what I can do with it.

I can tell you that they seem to burn very clean and hot.
Hot enough if you want to melt stainless steel with air injection.

I have not done an actual chemical analysis of the exhaust, but visual and smell wise looks good.
Combustion can be adjusted for output and mixture.

I am quite sure it can be adapted to anything that needs heat around the home.

Some projects included: an air heater, water heater and a grill, also I made a VERY simple hot water pump. This pump puts out about 1.5 quarts of boiling water every 30 seconds.

I also could adapt it to a clothes dryer.

I feel like I can eliminate every high wattage device used in my home.

I would think burning used veggie oil has to be better than burning coal or petroleum.

Am I on the right path? Ideas?

one project is at youtube. search for high temperature furnace. title my volcano.

The veggie oil (soy bean oil) can be used in Diesel motors (proportion VO:Diesel Oil - since 1:10 untill 1:0). The engines are not well prepared to this (they use to broke early using 100% of VO).

In my country, the residues of VO are used to improve the fertil conditions of some tired soils.
