I want to go to the hairdresser but I really don't know the name of the hairstyle i want or what to say. I want a regular hairstyle: long hair, but the front has short hairs, like a little short "flap of hair" that you can put on the right or left... I see it all the time I just don't know what it's called.

Many actresses have it, like Melinda in Ghost Whisperer...

Plz help

I think the hairstyle you are wondering about is just called "layers with bangs". Just bring a picture of what you would like with you, or choose one out of a magazine that's already at the salon. They usually have allot to choose from. If your stylist is really good she will be honest and tell you what the best style is for you.

Do an internet search or go to your local store and get a hairstyle magazine to find a picture to take for the cut. When you go to the hairdresser, make sure you find out if the style is best for your face shape and hair texture.

Do you mean bangs?

The best thing to do would be to print up a picture of the hairstyle you want and take it to the hairdresser so she knows exactly what you want. A picture is worth a thousand words.

google the names of some actresses that have the hairstyle you are looking for and bring the picture in to the hairdresser. It kind of sounds like you want side-bangs, you can try googaling that too.

You want to get your hair "layered" . Tell your stylist you want long layers with more fringes to frame the face. If the stylist does not understand, keep walking until you find one that does or that watches "Ghost Whisperer". Good luck!

if i had to guess i think your talking about a swoop bang. where they go from one side across your forhead and they angle down. you could also get a face frame. where the sides are layered to frame your face. very flattering. ive never seen that show but i do hair for a living.
