1. Garden:
In God's garden he planted a variety of elements to reflect all the love God has within. We might think of this garden containing natural conditions and materials like Soil, bugs, Rocks, water elements, flowers, grasses, shrubs, bushes, trees, birds, and animals.
Now the Rose is often a centerpiece of the garden. Many are drawn to it’s beauty and fragrant aroma’s it produces. However, the rose did not say, “I shall be a rose” but rather God said, “This shall be a rose”. Now, the soil may be holding the rose and envious that the rose is getting the attention while the soil is doing all the work; or the soil may think to itself that God picked it to be soil to nurture and nourish the rose for a beautiful garden.
So too, are holy orders. God has a plan and purpose for us all. We could try to be soil if we were a rose … or we could try to be the rose if we were soil … however, attempts are futile, since we are what God made us to be.
2. Body of Christ --- (A Priest shared this w/ me) --- A Bishop was talking with his Seminarians about the Church (all members of the Church) making up the Body of Christ.
The Bishop asked the seminarian’s “So, what part of the body is the Bishop?”
One seminarian said, “The Brian”. The Bishop replied, “Yes, the Bishop’s do think about the rules for the Church, but I think there is a different body part Bishop’s represent (metaphorically)”.
Another Seminarian said, “The Heart.” The Bishop smiled, and said, “I would say the heart is Mary’s Immaculate heart”.
Pausing, the Bishop finally said, “I think the Bishop most represents the Kidney. The Kidney if a vital organ within the body. Without it, the body will fill up with toxins and die. So, I believe that Bishops are there to clean out the toxins of the Church. When the Kidney & Bishops go bad … all suffer”.

Wow, that's a tough one. You could come up with plenty of stories about someone giving authority to others in order to be of service. How about a servant of a family who calls on other family memebers to serve the whole family and teach them the things he taught them.
The thing is that your religion teacher probably wants you to think about the sacrament of holy orders and understand what it is about. Check out this page and look under Holy Orders...

Good luck and God bless you.
