To get my waveish I braid it wet. Tight and in severa; smaller braids for a more curly wave or loose and fewer fatter braids for a straighter wave. I use a smoothing lotion while wet and then let it dry by it self. It works better for me than using a wave iron and without the damage but be careful not to over tighten the braids because that can cause breakage. If you have to run through it use a comb not a brush or you will just end up with a bushy mess. It takes practice and patients but the waves last for days.

Wash it before you go to bed, put some gel on it, and braid it into a bunch of little braids all over your head. The smaller the braids,
the denser the wave. Likewise, the looser you braid them, the looser the wave. (no, you can't blow-dry it, the braids won't dry)

go to Ulta
they have something called a barrel roll
its like 3 curling irons stuck together,
take it
and run it down your hair
it works wonders.

Like wash it, and then like finger comb it, but don't like brush it. Then like kinda dry it with a diffuser, but not too hard. And like spray some like gel into it and like squish it in your hair like a little bit. Like that.

you could braid it, then wait a night
next morning untie it and you get curls!!!
or
you could use a curling iron...
or
you could tie it in a bun
let it stay overnight
then let it down in the morning
hope these could help.
