intelligence quotient
IQ - a measure of a person's intelligence as indicated by an intelligence test; the ratio of a person's mental age to their chronological age (multiplied by 100)
intelligence - capacity for learning, reasoning, understanding, and similar forms of mental activity; aptitude in grasping truths, relationships, facts, meanings, etc.

You can not increase your IQ (your capacity for learning) A person with a higher IQ would catch on faster to something newly learned than someone with a lower IQ then them. That does not mean that you can not be educated it just means that you will have to work harder than someone with a higher IQ to learn the same thing.
