A cancer cell is a cell in the body that begins to grow out of control. No one knows why this happens to one person and not another.
Cancer is an ancient disease, so it has always been around (long before technology or other modern threats). The reason we notice it now is because people are surviving longer than they did before.

"Cancer has afflicted humans throughout recorded history. It is no surprise that from the dawn of history doctors have written about cancer. Some of the earliest evidence of cancer is found among fossilized bone tumors, human mummies in ancient Egypt, and ancient manuscripts. Bone remains of mummies have revealed growths suggestive of the bone cancer, osteosarcoma. In other cases, bony skull destruction as seen in cancer of the head and neck has been found.
Our oldest description of cancer (although the term cancer was not used) was discovered in Egypt and dates back to approximately 1600 B.C. The Edwin Smith Papyrus, or writing, describes 8 cases of tumors or ulcers of the breast that were treated by cauterization, with a tool called "the fire drill." The writing says about the disease, "There is no treatment."

our IMMUNE SYSTEMS become weakened by poor nutrition, lack of exercise and reduced oxygen. Once that happens, our body becomes vulnerable to common STRESSORS. Stressors can be environmental, like viruses, heavy metals, pesticides, food additives, electromagnetic waves or pollution. They can be internal things like emotional or job stress, or poisonous people in our lives. Aging is also a contributing factor. So this means:
WEAK IMMUNE SYSTEM + STRESSORS = DISEASE (cancer, diabetes, heart disease, etc.)
Our bodies have 60 trillion--yes, trillion--cells, and there are always some mutating into cancer cells, but a healthy immune system kills them before they have a chance to get a foothold in the body.
It takes a LONG time, usually, or a high level of stressors, to weaken the immune system to the point where it won't do its job, but once cancer has formed, it will generally spread rapidly.

it is a mutation that occurs in your DNA. Some cancers can be benign or malignant. benign tumors are the ones that are incapable of spreading throughout the body and therefore, mostly harmless. Malignant cancers are characterized by cell division. they are not affected by anibodies. they are not density dependent which results in more cells even if no space is left. that would result in a tumor.

i dont know, but before the 2 atomic bombs that the usa dropped in hiroshima, japan, there was never such thing as leukemia. It was from there that leukemia was born. But, as far as other cancers, they came from our technologies,etc etc. Before certain cancers were rare. Now, some types of cancers go up a couple of folds because of the food we eat, the appliances we use, the luxuries we buy, etc etc. Like 20 years ago, nobody had a computer. Now everybody has one. But computers give off radiation. This causes cancer. Things like that make cancer levels go up.

i don't know or care where it came from but with all the money being raised for C charities i hope they find a cure soon i have lost alot of good friends and family to this awful thing
