How do I fix this error message on my Mac "File: MacMFC.cpp Line:556"? Happens when saving in "Baldur's Gate"

Question

I am running the most current version of OSX (Tiger?). I played "Baldur's Gate" a couple of years ago, and, while there were some issues, saving wasn't one of them. I'm guessing this has something to do with Tiger. I love Baldur's Gate and really want to play it again? Is there anything I can do other than get an old Mac and use it as a dedicated "Baldur's Gate" computer?
