What did you think of it? Personally I'm an atheist but I think it's awesome to read. It's interesting to read about all the punishments of hell and who is down there and for what reasons.

It's an awesome read and an excellent reflection both of Dante's personal sense of morality and of the corruption rampant in Italian society at his time (all of the people he talks about have a historical basis).
And I love that he has a pagan (Virgil) as a guide (well, until Heaven anyway).

I read the Divine Comedy as part of my Humanties I class in college and I enjoyed it immensely. It is a great piece of classic writing even though the prose can be difficult to decipher at times. I'm an agnostic.

I read it in high school. I think i is interesting how so many Christians seem to base their view of Hell on some of Dante's descriptions.

I read it in college. The inclusion of historic figures of the time make it hard to identify with all the nuances. It's a great work, but primarily caught in its own time and place. I prefer Don Quixote.

Yes, wrote two reports on it for classes in college. Very good book, especially "Inferno". I've read the first part several times.
