Well this new girl came to school and she's really pretty and nice and athletic, and my best friend and I both liked her. She liked my friend, so they went out. But she dumped him after a couple of months because she liked me! I want to go out with her but I can't or my friend will feel horrible. What do I do?

Be friends with her for a few weeks, then tell your friend that you really like her and you are going to ask her out, but wanted to tell him first. In the mean time try to get your friend interested in someone else.

You have to remember that you both like her, she just chose the wrong guy first. Your friend went out with her when you like her too. Now it's your turn. (but just wait a couple of weeks). She sounds worth waiting for.

There's two ways to think about this. If you get with her and you really do love her, then your friend should understand and if he doesnt, then ask yourself is he really a true friend. Or you could look at it this way: is your friendship more important than a relationship with someone your not even sure about all the way? remember...friendships ALWAYS last longer than 'relationships'!!

Don't go out with her. Your friendship is way more important. you are young and will meet someone new. If you insist on going out with her then talk to your friend about it. he might understand and give you his "blessing" you best friend has been your friend longer than you have know her. pick wisley.

friends come before boyfriends/girlfriends. don't take the chance of throwing away a relationship for something that may or may not work out. and if she so easily threw away her relationship with your friend for another guy (even if it's you) who's to tell she won't throw away your relationship (if you choose to pursue) for someone else?? think about it. and talk to your friend. talk to her.

I am still friends with some of my high school and college buds. I can barely remember the names of anyone who I dated, but I can sure remember when one of my buds dated somebody's ex. He was shunned by all of us.

Make a choice and stick to your choice ... it is either your friend or the girl, seems you can't have all of it.

Listen,
Your friend and this girl tried it out, and it obviously was not for them.
Your friend has no right to disable you from dating this girl.

Someone (EX) is always someone elses trash.
Don't get caught dumpster diving?
Technically she is still "his trash" till the garbage man comes !!!

Talk to your friend and see what he says. Tell him you want to date her.
