I do now they were from Prussia and married in Berlin, I have names and dates but dont' know who to contact for a copy for my records. Any suggestions?

I grew up in Germany and speak German; I just looked up a site for marriage licenses in Berlin - they do not show anything in English; however, here a contact e-mail address - I am positive, if you write to them politely in clear, easy English, someone will be able to understand and either can help you or give you a site helpful to you!

Here you go: buergeramt@stegl-zehl.verwalt-berlin.de

buergeramt@stegl-zehl.verwalt-berlin.de

Surely, I can't promise they'll get back to you; thought it might be worth a try!!!

Good luck on your research!!!

For whatever reason, the whole e-mail address won't show - here once again just the last part of it:

Most Germans know how to speak English these days--especially in a major city like Berin. You can also go to a local community college that teaches German and possibly ask the professor to translate for you
