Thyroid infection?

My throat is itching and now I feel itching from the skin. I am coughing some yellow mucus. What could this mean?

You may be coming down with a cold, or have some sinus drainage. The thyroid gland can become over- or under-active, or develop a goiter, but I've never heard of a thyroid infection. Yellow mucus could lead to something that needs a doctor, but if it gets clear, antibiotics won't help it -

Im no sure about thyroid infection, I have hypothroidism that I have to take a daily medication for. You should see a doctor
