Is islam a gateway for someone to commit a terrorist act?

People say that islam is a peaceful religion(im not saying it isnt).isnt it more likely for a muslim to commit terrorism than any other religion?if you are muslim arent you more likely to be persuaded into terrorism?So isnt islam a gateway to terrorism...kinda like how people say that marijuana is a gateway drug to other things..if you convert to islam arent you more likely to become a terrorist that another religion?"im not racist to islam" im just stating the statistics..EXAMPLE OF WHAT IM SAYING...statistics say that if you were to convert to islam there is a .00003% more of a chance that you would commit a terrorist act than if you were any other religion.its not a high percentage but never the less it is a percentage

I agree with you the fact is sad but because the laws protect the Muslims in their religion we are basically saying its alright to be a terrorist. Although you do get those who do terrorist acts for what they believe in for example animal rights groups our country doesnt support them because the law as not caught up with the fact that mistreating animals is cruel their are no severe penalties for the activists whom in my opinion are at least doing something worthwhile as long as no human is killed.
To take anothers human life no matter what your faith is not a act of faith in your God it is an abomination.
You purposely go out and kill others should bring the highest ofall penalties from the justice system no amount of believing these people will change their beliefs will help
the death penalty is cruel but a neccessity isnt it better to kill the one who wishes to kill the many so that they can find notoriety in some history book.
Islamic faith does hold many just ideals but now its turned into a power trip for many not all but many who believe themselves to be untouchable because of their faith

NO not in any way shape or form. There is nothing in Islam that says commiting act of terrorism is permissable. It says to kill one person is like you have killed all of mankind. I was not born into a muslim family or raised muslim but i did convert to Islam over two and a half years ago. And the last thing i think of ever is killing someone, why? Why would i be commiting acts of terror and towards who? The IRA where catholic terrorists does that mean catholisism is a gateway for someone to commit a terrorist act? No? Why is me being a muslim and living peacfully any different to a catholic living peacfully. Just because someone of the same faith commites a crime (like a terrorist act) does not mean all other people of that faith follow the terrorist, does it? Who is it that in Islam could persuade me to be a terrorist, who? Here is a statistic for you there are 1.5 billion muslims and less than 1% of them are extremists and less than that 1% have commited acts of terror. No one is saying these terrorist where right, not for one second am i, but have a little perspective. Look at the prison system in the US how many are christians who have say commited murder, shot there wife, stabbed there business partner, blown up building in Oklahoma get my picture. Do all christian think that fellow christian blew up a building or killed Amish children at gun point i think its ok for me then. I think it is one step closer for me to stab my neighour. NO? do you see how rediculas your question is. Sorry but NO there is no way it is a gateway for me to commit acts of terror. If you knew anything about the Islamic faith you would know it is peaceful, respectful and a quiet religion.

Islam is not a gateway to terrorist....not all Muslims are terrorist if you see well and not all Muslims are killer if so me would be holding a knife a killing non Muslim but some of my friends are Christians and we help each other in collage...and if Islam is a gateway for terrorist so the hole world will be dominated by Islam only because there won't be a non Muslim right?? but most of us live in peace...media shows terrorism yes there is terrorism in everywhere not only from Muslims but the most famous are from Muslims let me tell you something Prophet Mohamed said that any non Muslim killed from a Muslim , the Muslim will be in hell...these words to prove to you that our religion prevent the life of others not only Muslims but these terrorist are people who chooses word from Quran and Prophet Mohamed and don't know its meaning and in which situation so they understand the religion wrong

Why would be Islam the gateway to terrorism when Quran says that harming someone else injustly, is a big sin. HE/SHE will be asked for the sin they did..

Islam doesn't support terrorism at all. There is no verse in the Quran that states become a terrorist. Islam is a peaceful religion and it is a shame that these stupid individuals that kill in the name of Islam are bringing down the religion.

I don't believe that is true for Islam any more than it is for Christianity. There are xian terrorists as well, you know. Eric Rudolph being just the most popular example.

Of course people of either religion will say that those people are not 'real' Muslims or Xians. Which I suppose is true. If you belong to a peaceful religion that teaches love and forgiveness and then you blow things up, do you really belong to that religion or do you actually belong to the religion called 'hate and intolerance'?

Islam would not help terrorism in any respect. those terrorists are not to any extent further "authentic" Muslims and nowhere interior the Koran does it say develop right into a terrorist. i comprehend many Muslims and they keep on with Islam wisely and for this reason are very non violent and delightful human beings.

What about non-Muslims who were committing atrocities such as World Wars, Holocaust, Crusades, Vietnam War, Bosnian Massacre. Do they represent their religions? So why do terrorist represent Islam? Although i am against killing innocent people please realize that the oppression of West against Muslim countries is also to be blamed.
